A Story of Life Change

Mary was referred for mental health counseling at Beyond90's Project For Healing program not long after she arrived in America. She was feeling helpless, hopeless and not finding any pleasure in life. When she visited the doctor or tried to find a better job, she couldn't communicate. During counseling, Mary worked on solution-focused techniques, setting goals and working towards accomplishing them.
Our Care Coordinator helped Mary build a resume and apply for dental hygienist positions. The following day, Mary landed an interview with a dentistry office, was able to conduct her interview in her native language through a bilingual employee at the company, and was offered the position on the spot!
Mary is now working full-time making a salary that is more than her two previous jobs combined. She shared she is feeling happy, more confident and expressed gratitude for having the support and encouragement of Beyond90 to get her on the right path. With excitement she proclaimed, "Thank you so much for helping me find myself again."

Beyond90 partners with area organizations, churches and individual volunteers to get out in the community and meet the families where they live. We do events such as clothing giveaways and family fun days. Families leave knowing they were loved and cared for. We are truly blessed to serve with the most loving and selfless people!
