A Story of Life Change
(Name Changed for Privacy)
When Omari arrived in the U.S. just six months ago with his wife and young daughter, he carried with him the weight of starting over. Back home, he was the provider—confident in his role as the head of the household. But in a new country with unfamiliar systems, language barriers, and limited opportunities, Omari found himself unable to support his family the way he once had.

His confidence began to slip. Strained communication led to tension at home, and feelings of hopelessness crept in. “I didn’t even enjoy being at home anymore,” he shared. “I felt like I was failing as a husband and father.”

But Omari didn’t give up. With courage, he reached out for help. Through biweekly therapy sessions offered by Beyond90's Project for Healing Program, Omari began to rediscover his strength and voice. Two months later, the transformation is remarkable. He feels hopeful again—motivated to keep moving forward. His marriage has grown stronger, and he’s learned tools to manage stress and anxiety with grace.

“Therapy helped me see things in a new way,” he said. “Now, I know I have value, even when everything is unfamiliar.”

Omari's story is just one example of how compassion, support, and access to mental health care can change the course of a life.

Gratitude for a Community That Cares
We are deeply grateful for the incredible community that makes our work possible. Beyond90 is honored to partner with local organizations, churches, and dedicated volunteers who step up with open hearts and helping hands. Whether through clothing giveaways or family fun days, these moments of connection remind refugee families that they are seen, valued, and loved. None of it would be possible without the compassion and generosity of those who serve alongside us. From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for being the hands and feet of hope.
