Opportunities for Individuals

Community Events

  • Interact with refugees by assisting in one of our personal development classes

  • Join support services and assist refugees with SNAP, Medicaid, many household management topics, and more!  Training provided

  • Client transportation to appointments

  • Fluent in another language? We need translators

  • Help plan and organize events

  • Graphic design, photography, videography

  • Help with general administrative tasks

  • Food pantry organizing

  • If you own a business, hire refugees

  • Grocery shop for food for our culturally relevant food pantry. (We provide the list and cover the cost.) 

  • Join us for community outreach events

  • Pick up and drop off donations.  We've got the truck!

  • Join our prayer team

  • Like and share our social media to help spread awareness (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn)

  • Donate your services as a mental health counselor, attorney, mechanic, program manager, development coordinator etc.

Opportunities for Churches & Small Groups

  • ​Host a clothing giveaway at a mostly refugee local apartment complex (clothes provided)

  • Create family fun day events at a mostly refugee local apartment complex

  • Sort and prepare food bags for distribution

  • Annual Back to School Supply Drive & Event helper

  • Annual Refugee Christmas Party helper

  • Host an Easter Event at a mostly refugee local apartment complex

  • Host a diaper or personal hygiene items drive

  • Help with child care during classes

  • Provide kids activities during events - like arts, crafts, face painting, balloon animals etc.

  • Host your own group fundraising event (for ideas, visit event hosting)

Opportunities for Youth Groups

  • Decorate note cards with greetings to refugee families for inclusion in their diaper and food bags. (We can provide a template.)

  • Join an adult and help with kids activities during events and classes

  • Help with grocery purchases at local ethnic stores (We provide the list and payment.)

  • Collect and sort hygiene items for distribution

General Ways to Engage with Refugees and Immigrants in Everyday Life

If you are a church or small group wanting to serve together, only the leader needs to initially complete the volunteer application.  Some volunteer activities require a background check.  To help defray the cost of the background check, a $40 donation to Beyond90 would be greatly appreciated.  Enter Background Check in the memo field.
